Team Manager - Loss Adjuster

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Team Manager – Loss Adjuster to lead our Napier branch. Reporting to the Southern Regional Manager, you will combine strong people leadership with advanced technical expertise to deliver high‑quality claims outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team of loss adjusters, setting clear expectations and driving accountability.
• Provide senior technical oversight on complex, high‑value and sensitive claims, acting as the primary escalation point.
• Maintain operational discipline through accurate, timely reporting and compliance with client requirements.
• Champion a consistent, high‑quality customer experience for all stakeholders.
• Drive business growth by managing strategic relationships with brokers, insurers and suppliers.
• Manage your own portfolio of complex claims to contribute to branch performance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience across commercial, domestic and NHI claims, including complex losses.
• Proven track record of leading, mentoring and developing high‑performing teams.
• ANZIIF qualification or equivalent industry credential.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation ability and sound decision‑making under pressure.
• Proactive, growth‑oriented mindset with the ability to build trusted market relationships.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to balance leadership duties with a personal claims portfolio.
