Team Leader Holiday Park

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Team Leader to manage the Whakatāne Riverside Holiday Park. In this full‑time position you will guide a small team to deliver safe, cost‑efficient operations and memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of park staff, setting an example through daily actions.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness and service throughout the park.
• Develop and execute marketing initiatives including social media, direct marketing, radio advertising and website updates in partnership with council marketing.
• Manage bookings using the SEEKOM system and oversee occupancy and revenue targets.
• Prepare staff rosters aligned with occupancy levels and workload.
• Support basic financial management and reporting with council finance.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in the hospitality accommodation sector, preferably in motels or holiday parks.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to communicate professionally with diverse guests.
• Proven people‑management skills and a hands‑on leadership style.
• Willingness to work flexible rostered days, weekends and public holidays.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and community‑focused outcomes.
