Support Officer – Employment Relations Authority

About the role
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking a proactive Support Officer for the Employment Relations Authority (ERA). Based in Auckland, you will help keep the ERA office running smoothly, providing essential administrative and operational assistance to staff and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Manage document handling, filing, and data entry tasks.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting logistics and room bookings.
- Serve as the first point of contact for colleagues and external stakeholders, delivering timely and accurate information.
- Maintain office supplies and support day‑to‑day office operations.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations and other written materials.
Required profile
- Strong administration skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and juggle multiple tasks.
- Customer‑service mindset; experience in hospitality, retail or contact centres is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with keen attention to detail.
- Confident use of technology for data entry and document preparation.
- Collaborative, proactive and solutions‑focused attitude.
- Legal right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of application.
