About the role
The Student Services Customer Service Agent provides front‑line support to students at Manukau Institute of Technology. You will help students navigate application, enrolment, invoicing, withdrawals, academic records, results and graduation processes, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
Key responsibilities
- Assist students with application and enrolment procedures.
- Process invoicing, receipting, withdrawals and transfers.
- Handle academic record requests, results enquiries and graduation support.
- Provide coverage for shifts from 7 am to 8 pm Monday‑Friday and occasional Saturday shifts (8:30 am‑4:30 pm, once every four weeks).
- Maintain compliance with MIT policies and quality‑assurance standards.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a customer‑service or related role.
- Strong interpersonal, active‑listening and analytical skills.
- Commitment to supporting student aspirations and achievements.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- Team‑oriented mindset with personal initiative and accountability.
- Results‑driven attitude and cultural awareness of a diverse student body.
Required skills
- Proficiency with databases.
- Experience using student management systems.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Competence in the Microsoft Office suite.
