Structural Draftsperson

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Structural Draftsperson to produce clear, well‑laid‑out drawings that simplify the construction process for our clients. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Christchurch Central and offers the chance to contribute to a variety of structural projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate structural drawings and schematics using industry‑standard drafting practices.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update drawing files, ensuring version control and documentation are up to date.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback, site conditions, and design changes.
• Support the construction team by providing clear, detailed documentation that aids on‑site execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structural drafting or a related drafting role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise, readable drawings.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with engineers, architects, and construction personnel.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Christchurch.
