Strategy Associate

About the role

Join Woolworths Group in Auckland as a Strategy Associate and help shape the future of a $60 billion business. You will work across retail, e‑commerce, loyalty, media and property development, turning strategic ideas into tangible outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reporting and communication for strategic initiatives.
• Monitor macro‑economic, market and customer trends and share insights with stakeholders.
• Conduct complex quantitative analysis to generate actionable business insights.
• Support problem‑solving using a hypothesis‑driven approach.
• Assist cross‑functional projects to embed strategic initiatives.
• Translate strategic recommendations into concrete actions.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in a top‑tier strategy consultancy, Big Four, investment bank or corporate strategy team.
• Strong analytical mindset combined with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Customer‑first attitude and results‑focused work ethic.
• Outstanding academic record and notable extracurricular achievements.
• Experience in consumer markets or retail is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced analytics and quantitative modelling.
• Highly proficient in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• Strong command of Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with Thinkcell for presentation graphics.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent contract (40 hrs/week) with a hybrid flexible work model.
