Strategic Consultant – Data & AI Advisory

About the role

Datamine is seeking a Strategic Consultant to join its delivery team. You will work directly with senior client stakeholders, quickly uncover core business challenges and translate insights into data‑driven, AI‑enabled solutions that deliver commercial value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and workshops, structuring ambiguous problems and guiding senior stakeholders toward root causes.
• Own end‑to‑end client engagements across multiple projects, ensuring clarity, direction and momentum.
• Diagnose business challenges and design practical data and AI‑led solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor.
• Challenge client thinking, identify new opportunities and ensure delivery creates meaningful commercial impact.
• Identify risks early and work proactively to keep delivery on track.
• Collaborate with internal teams to shape solutions and guide implementation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience leading consulting engagements in a commercial environment.
• Comfortable working autonomously, handling ambiguity and taking ownership of outcomes.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate work into business value.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple moving pieces.
• Curious, empathetic and able to engage senior stakeholders effectively.

• Ability to structure complex problems and communicate clear, actionable recommendations.
