Store Manager – Bayfair, Tauranga

About the role

JD Sports is opening a new store in Bayfair, Tauranga and is looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead the launch. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving sales, and managing a large team across a busy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Lead, coach and develop department managers and front‑line staff.
• Drive sales targets and profitability through effective product placement and merchandising.
• Manage budgets, stock levels and high‑volume deliveries.
• Analyse sales data and reports to identify opportunities for growth.
• Ensure consistent service standards and a seamless customer journey.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior retail leadership, preferably as a Store Manager.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing budgets.
• Ability to lead large teams, develop talent and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Excellent customer‑focused mindset with a passion for sports fashion.
