Store Development Designer

About the role

The Store Development Designer will act as the technical engine behind FreshChoice retail spaces. Using specialised drafting software, you will produce accurate 2D layouts and 3D models for new stores, refurbishments and fit‑out equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D floor plans and 3D models of machinery, components and minor structures using AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Revit.
• Translate initial sketches and specifications into actionable store implementation plans.
• Modify existing plans dynamically based on feedback from site managers, engineers and project teams.
• Maintain comprehensive FreshChoice brand design documentation and complex layout records.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, Woolworths design personnel and external architects to resolve spatial challenges.
• Conduct site visits across the network to gather precise data and troubleshoot live layout issues.
• Attend stakeholder meetings, review concepts and drawings for quality control, and ensure compliance with health, safety, building regulations, format specifications and sustainability goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience preparing CAD drawings based on architectural concepts.
