Sponsorship Specialist

About the role

The Sponsorship Specialist will join ANZ’s Sponsorship team within Marketing, supporting the execution of sponsorship leverage programmes that align with business and brand objectives. This role contributes to building ANZ’s social licence and demonstrating corporate purpose through strategic sponsorship activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sponsorship Managers and external partners to deliver leverage plans and manage contractual rights.
• Work with internal stakeholders to maximise sponsorship exposure across ANZ channels and create related content.
• Liaise with community groups to support ANZ’s role in sponsorship initiatives.
• Assist in designing and executing staff‑engagement programmes that turn employees into sponsorship advocates.
• Ensure sponsorship activities are delivered on time, meet objectives, and adhere to brand guidelines.
• Draft, review and provide feedback on copy for partner and ANZ channels, ensuring correct tone and messaging.
• Identify dependencies and risks associated with sponsorship leverage activities.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of sponsorship, marketing or customer‑strategy fundamentals.
• Demonstrated project‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building collaborative relationships with stakeholders, partners and suppliers.
