About the role

The Sourcing Manager will lead high‑impact procurement initiatives that deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality outcomes for public services across Aotearoa. Working closely with category management teams, you will shape sourcing strategies that are robust, legally sound, and aligned with operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies in partnership with category teams.
• Lead end‑to‑end procurement processes, from market analysis to contract award.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships that generate value.
• Ensure compliance with all procurement frameworks, standards, and legal requirements.
• Drive financial and operational benefits through strategic sourcing decisions.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented procurement professional with a commercial mindset.
• Proactive problem‑solver comfortable in dynamic environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex procurement projects from start to finish.
• Strong track record of delivering financial and operational improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and several years of experience in sourcing or contract management.
• Experience in large, complex organisations is a plus.
