Solutions Architect

About the role

This position is a pivotal hire for a large New Zealand consumer business undergoing a major transformation of its customer‑facing technology. The Solutions Architect will work across platforms, simplify complexity and guide a multi‑year refresh of systems that underpin the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for initiatives across digital and customer platforms, translating business and functional requirements into clear designs.
• Ensure solutions align with architecture principles, platform standards and integration patterns for Salesforce, web applications and middleware/API services.
• Partner with platform owners, business analysts and delivery teams to keep designs feasible within platform capabilities and delivery constraints.
• Provide architectural guidance to engineering and delivery partners, reviewing designs and implementation approaches.
• Identify architectural risks, integration challenges, cross‑platform dependencies and potential technical debt early and help mitigate them.
• Produce fit‑for‑purpose documentation and guidance that supports consistent decision‑making across initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience in solution architecture within complex, multi‑platform environments.
• Ability to influence through relationships and sound judgement without creating delivery drag.
• Proven track record of delivering practical, executable architecture that aligns with broader business vision.
