Solution Architect

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established New Zealand organisation that is undergoing a major technology transformation. The Solution Architect will bridge business strategy and technology, translating strategic objectives into pragmatic, end‑to‑end architectures across applications, integration, data and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver end‑to‑end solution architectures aligned with business strategy and enterprise standards.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmaps covering CRM, integration, data and cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business requirements into secure, scalable solutions.
• Evaluate solution options and advise on cost, risk and performance trade‑offs.
• Produce architecture artefacts such as designs, patterns and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support vendor selection and build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Identify and mitigate architecture risks and dependencies.
• Contribute to architecture governance and design authority processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solution architecture or systems design within complex environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, integration patterns and cloud platforms.
• Experience designing secure, scalable and resilient solutions.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and modern delivery practices such as Agile and DevOps.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
• Ability to work across cross‑functional teams and manage competing priorities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, TOGAF) are advantageous.
