Software Engineer (.NET) – Hybrid, UK

About the role

Optima Health is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its growing delivery team. You will help enhance and maintain occupational health portals and supporting applications, working in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new functionality for occupational health portals.
• Investigate defects and implement well‑considered fixes.
• Contribute to work estimation, sprint planning and Agile ceremonies.
• Assist in incident resolution and recommend preventive measures.
• Develop solutions in line with IT policies, secure SDLC and cloud best practices.
• Conduct peer reviews and clearly justify design decisions.
• Deploy application changes safely following team processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering software in a commercial environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with both .NET Core and .NET Framework.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for web‑facing functionality.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of version control, testing and secure coding practices.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
