Software Engineer – Mid-level (Software Engineer II)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join Seequent’s engineering team. Reporting to the Team Lead, you will work independently on moderately complex applications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions that help our customers understand the underground.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and refactor moderately complex software components and applications.
• Create design documentation addressing functional, non‑functional and security requirements.
• Apply coding standards, patterns and security measures throughout the development lifecycle.
• Monitor progress, identify development issues and propose practical solutions.
• Support release planning, scheduling and coordination with relevant teams.
• Participate in testing, quality assurance and release reporting.
• Collaborate in peer reviews and assist junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ability to work under general direction, meet deadlines and solve complex problems.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning.
• Commitment to security, privacy and ethical practices.

Required skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
