About the role
Caterpillar’s CTCT division is looking for a Software Engineer to develop and evolve its Earthworks system. You will work on cloud connectivity, data services and embedded Linux platforms that help heavy‑equipment operators and technicians work more efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with international teams to define development scope, architecture and test plans.
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux solutions using C++.
- Design and build web applications with Angular, Typescript, HTML and CSS.
- Contribute to a distributed system architecture, defining sub‑domains and bounded contexts.
- Implement micro‑frontend solutions using module federation.
- Ensure software quality through predictable engineering practices and automated testing.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Mechatronics or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience developing software in C++.
- Experience building modern web applications, preferably with Angular.
- Strong teamwork, communication and prioritisation skills.
