Software Engineer – Institutional Technology (Wellington)

About the role

As a Software Engineer in ANZ's Institutional Technology team, you will support a suite of business‑critical systems that underpin core markets operations. This hands‑on DevOps position covers the full delivery lifecycle, from development and deployment to monitoring and production support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the stability, performance, and reliability of business‑critical applications.
• Participate in an on‑call support roster, responding to production incidents promptly.
• Design, develop, and implement technical changes that meet business needs and regulatory standards.
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, driving automation and reducing manual effort.
• Collaborate with engineers, technology teams, service providers, and operations across locations and time zones.
• Contribute to system modernisation, simplification, and platform evolution initiatives.
