Software Developer – Cloud & .NET (Auckland)

About the role

Join Deloitte’s Information Technology Services team in Auckland as a Software Developer, creating cloud‑based .NET applications and integrations that support the firm’s business and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance .NET applications and cloud‑based solutions.
• Work with Azure services such as App Services, API Gateway, Service Bus and Front Door.
• Implement object‑oriented design to build robust back‑end functionality.
• Create clean, intuitive user interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with peers, review code and optimise performance.
• Apply DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Write automated test cases and support migration of on‑premise applications to Azure.
• Ensure security and performance standards are met within the Deloitte environment.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of full‑time experience in software development and cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in C#.NET Core, WebAssembly and Blazor.
• Experience with Azure services (App Services, Service Bus, API Gateway, Front Door).
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs and micro‑services architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front‑end frameworks.
• Proficient with Git version control and Azure DevOps CI/CD automation.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication.
