Social Media Manager (Remote, Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a creative Social Media Manager to shape the public identity of a fast‑growing sustainability startup that is launching smart water refill stations across Sri Lanka. This remote, contract position will combine storytelling, content creation, and data‑driven strategy to amplify the company’s mission and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a social‑media strategy for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Facebook.
• Create, schedule and publish visual and written content that showcases milestones, mission and user stories.
• Document the startup’s growth journey through photos, videos and copy.
• Collaborate closely with the founder to maintain brand consistency and authenticity.
• Monitor trends, audience engagement and analytics to optimise content.
• Report on key performance metrics and adjust tactics accordingly.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing social‑media accounts for brands, startups or organisations.
• Strong storytelling ability with a passion for sustainability, travel and environmental impact.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the Sri Lankan hospitality or travel sector is a plus.
