Skilled Labourer – Structures

About the role

We are seeking skilled structural labourers to join one of the largest horizontal infrastructure teams in the South Island. You will work on a variety of civil projects across Canterbury and the wider South Island, gaining experience in roading, footpath preparation, kerb and channel work, boxing, formwork, and plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil works including roading, footpath and kerb preparation.
• Set up and dismantle boxing and formwork for structural projects.
• Operate small and large plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with channel preparation and other site preparation tasks.
• Maintain a strong focus on health and safety standards on all sites.

Required profile

• National Certificate in Civil Infrastructure (advantageous).
• Class 2‑4 licence (essential).
• WTR endorsements (essential).
• STMS certification (preferred – training provided for the right candidate).
• Physically fit, self‑motivated and health‑safety conscious.

Required skills

• Class 2‑4 licence.
• WTR endorsements.
• STMS (or willingness to be trained).
• Operation of small and large plant machinery.
• Boxing and formwork setup.
