Site Manager

About the role

Naylor Love is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction phase of a commercial project in Whanganui. You will join a vibrant Wellington‑based team and be responsible for delivering high‑quality builds safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site activities from mobilisation to handover.
• Manage trade teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure coordinated progress.
• Implement and champion the company’s health and safety culture, aiming for zero‑harm outcomes.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets and quality standards, reporting any variances.
• Foster a collaborative, team‑oriented environment and mentor on‑site personnel.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Site Manager on residential or commercial projects in New Zealand.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget and to quality and safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using project management software and related tools.
