Site Manager – Infrastructure Delivery

About the role

Balfour Beatty is seeking a proactive Site Manager to join the one Alliance delivering Anglian Water's capital investment programme. You will lead on‑site delivery of complex water and utility infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality and schedule performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities in line with the construction programme, delivering works safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Promote a strong Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality culture across the site.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, site resources, materials and plant utilisation.
• Support project handover and ensure works meet Safe to Operate (STO) standards at DM4.
• Maintain compliance with CSIR, CEIR and CQIR assurance processes.
• Monitor site budgets with the Cost Manager, approving expenditures, timesheets and GRNs.
• Review and approve subcontractor RAMS and manage site requisitions.
• Lead construction rework activities, ensuring timely resolution and sign‑off.
• Provide programme, cost, quality and risk reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with Anglian Water operational teams to support seamless asset transition.
• Coach and motivate site teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experienced Site Manager with strong leadership skills.
• Solid background in infrastructure delivery within the water or utilities sector.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects valued at £20 million or more.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams and external partners.
