Site & Community Engagement Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Site & Community Engagement Coordinator to be the local face of Meridian’s renewable energy assets across the North Island. In this role you will act as the trusted on‑the‑ground link between our generation sites, local communities, iwi and other stakeholders, helping to deliver day‑to‑day asset and engagement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support site visits, stakeholder meetings and community events.
• Assist the Iwi & Community Relationships Manager and Land & Farming Relationships Manager with programme delivery such as Power Up.
• Maintain strong relationships with iwi, local authorities, landowners and community groups.
• Facilitate communication between operational teams and external partners.
• Travel to various mid‑to‑upper North Island locations and work occasional after‑hours as required.

Required profile

• Highly organised and approachable with a passion for community connection.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competency, or a genuine willingness to develop it.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
