Site & Community Engagement Coordinator

About the role

Meridian is looking for a Site & Community Engagement Coordinator to be the local face of its North Island renewable energy assets. You will act as the trusted on‑ground link between assets, communities and stakeholders, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and engagement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support asset visits and on‑site inspections.
• Organise and deliver stakeholder engagement activities and community events, including programmes such as Power Up.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with iwi, local communities, landowners and other stakeholders.
• Promote Meridian’s sustainability, safety and clean‑energy commitments.
• Travel across mid to upper North Island locations and undertake occasional after‑hours work as required.

Required profile

• Highly organised and approachable with a knack for coordination and event management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competency, or a genuine willingness to develop it.
• Comfortable working in dynamic environments and handling multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
