Service Technician – Access Solutions

About the role

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking a hands‑on Service Technician to support the installation, repair and maintenance of its AAES Doors product range across Auckland. The role combines technical work on site with direct customer interaction, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain AAES Doors and related access solutions.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, scheduled service calls and customer inquiries.
• Complete all required paperwork, documentation and reporting in line with quality standards.
• Maintain tools, personal protective equipment and adhere to WHS policies.
• Participate in call‑outs, overtime and out‑of‑hours work as needed.
• Report safety incidents and hazards via Donesafe and attend training, audits and meetings.

Required profile

• Experience in building, carpentry or related trades is desirable.
• Background in service or installation roles preferred.
• Knowledge of the Wellington area is an advantage.
• Qualified/licensed electrician or fitter‑and‑turner; controls experience a plus.
• EWP (scissor lift) and forklift licences preferred.
• Current driver’s licence and flexibility to work weekends and out‑of‑hours.
