Service Operations Specialist

About the role

The Service Operations Specialist will act as the critical link ensuring seamless, reliable, and efficient operation of infrastructure and systems across Fresh Choice sites. Based in Christchurch, you will support a fast‑paced environment, turning ambiguity into clear, measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead service‑excellence initiatives by capturing, analysing and prioritising improvements to maintain top‑tier quality and customer satisfaction.
• Manage the full lifecycle of incidents and changes, especially high‑impact events, ensuring timely resolution and smooth transition to business‑as‑usual.
• Analyse recurring support incidents to identify system defects, training gaps or process failures and drive proactive permanent fixes.
• Act as liaison between business and technical teams, translating requirements into precise specifications and championing system changes.
• Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features or fixes, validating stability before deployment.
• Perform deep‑dive root‑cause analysis, produce robust documentation (use cases, acceptance criteria) and support reliable solution deployment.
• Maintain operational resilience by overseeing infrastructure maintenance and enforcing best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a high‑pressure, fast‑changing operational environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn limited information into clear action plans.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge business needs and technical delivery.
