Service Manager – Industrial Refrigeration (Melbourne/Brisbane)

About the role

Lead Oomiak’s Victorian or Queensland service operation as a Service Manager, based in either Melbourne or Brisbane. You will be responsible for delivering reliable industrial refrigeration services, managing customer relationships, and driving commercial performance across a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the service team (technicians and apprentices), setting standards, coaching performance and fostering a positive culture.
• Own operational delivery – scheduling, prioritisation, resourcing and coordination to meet customer commitments.
• Build strong relationships with key customers and site stakeholders, ensuring proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Drive service performance and commercial outcomes, including utilisation, productivity, job quality and cost awareness.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality, timeliness and consistency.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Oomiak and customer site requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, workflow and service delivery consistency.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑technician or leadership experience in a field‑based technical service environment, specifically industrial refrigeration.
• Strong service‑operations capability across planned maintenance, breakdown response, scheduling and job coordination.
• Confident communicator able to engage operational stakeholders and manage escalations calmly and professionally.
• Commercially grounded with a clear understanding of drivers behind service performance.
