Senior Technical Specialist - Cloud

About the role

BNZ is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Specialist to join the Cloud Platforms team in Auckland or Wellington. You will help drive the migration of on‑premise infrastructure to AWS New Zealand, ensuring a reliable and frictionless experience for customers while working in an agile, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex cloud features and systems, balancing speed, quality, and strategic alignment.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide production support to maintain service reliability.
• Design and build robust, scalable cloud solutions with a focus on long‑term sustainability.
• Navigate ambiguous problems, define solutions, and guide peers through system design.
• Collaborate across Azure and AWS teams, influencing technical direction and best practices.
