Senior Systems Engineer - Storage

About the role

As a Senior Systems Engineer – Storage within ANZ’s Technology Operations Tribe, you will be responsible for the design, administration and stability of the bank’s SAN and NAS environments. You will ensure that the infrastructure meets service delivery targets while supporting a 24/7 operational model.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in NZ‑impacting priority incidents, handling detection, resolution and reporting.
• Execute change activities including storage configuration, software installation, system builds and testing.
• Attend vendor‑management meetings and coordinate with external partners.
• Perform risk and compliance tasks for the storage fleet.
• Maintain up‑to‑date Confluence documentation and guides.
• Manage storage lifecycle, patch upgrades and capacity planning.

Required profile

• Strong experience with SAN and NAS storage systems.
• Ability to lead and support teams under pressure.
• Solid automation expertise, preferably with Ansible.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation.
• Broad understanding of hardware, software and application ecosystems.
• Proven incident‑ and change‑management experience in a technology environment.
