Senior Software Engineer

About the role

PredictHQ is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Sustained Engineering team. You will own and evolve the backend pipeline services that transform raw, messy real‑world signals into trustworthy, structured insight that powers enterprise AI decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs, data pipelines, and services using Python, FastAPI, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Own monitoring and alerting for pipeline services, ensuring rapid detection and resolution of production issues.
• Contribute to the evolution of architecture, standards, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, data specialists, and fellow engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
• Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and system resilience challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion best‑practice engineering culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and operating high‑throughput backend systems at scale.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on data quality and system reliability.
• Ability to work hands‑on across the full stack and influence product direction.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
