Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Devoli is building a next‑generation software platform in Auckland and is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the hybrid team. You will help shape the architecture of a complex B2B platform that includes CPQ, pricing, billing, authentication, and a new customer portal, while also exploring how agentic AI can accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core services using Go, Python, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Define and evolve distributed, service‑oriented architecture across bounded contexts.
• Work on domains such as CPQ, pricing, billing, subscription management and authentication.
• Integrate agentic AI tooling into development workflows and product features.
• Own long‑running mission areas and contribute to overall platform strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience with at least part of the stack: Python, TypeScript, Go, Next.js, AWS, Postgres, MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented, event‑driven and distributed service design.
• Hands‑on AWS production experience, including operating services you build.
• Background in B2B software product organisations, preferably in telco, ERP, billing or logistics.
• Deep interest and practical experience with agentic AI tools and workflows.
