Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

EROAD is seeking a senior, hands‑on Site Reliability Engineer to join its autonomous platform team. You will help keep the company’s global SaaS platforms running at peak performance while enabling engineering teams to innovate faster.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain system efficiency, performance, and uptime across distributed cloud environments.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of complex incidents and drive issues to resolution.
• Automate operational tasks to improve team scale and efficiency.
• Deploy new SaaS releases with minimal customer impact.
• Build and maintain metrics, dashboards, and visualisation tools for capacity planning and troubleshooting.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.
• Conduct performance and reliability testing to identify bottlenecks.
• Report monthly on platform cost, capacity, incidents, and performance.
• Mentor teammates, contribute to solution design, and champion modern reliability practices.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on experience operating Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) at scale.
• Strong background with public cloud platforms – Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Concourse, etc.).
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash or Ruby.
• Self‑motivated, curious mindset with strong communication abilities.
