Senior Site Reliability Engineer (ANZ)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate large‑scale, distributed systems that power our AI‑driven automotive parts platform. The role blends software and systems engineering, offering high autonomy, leadership, and strategic impact across our global infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure stability, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure and third‑party applications in Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform for GCP and GitOps workflows with ArgoCD.
• Monitor and optimise cloud and on‑prem costs while maintaining performance.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and leadership to plan infrastructure needs and provide SRE tooling and guidance.
• Drive production‑readiness standards, troubleshoot incidents, and support developers in debugging complex systems.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with experience building and maintaining large codebases.
• Solid computer‑science fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, APIs, testing, and design patterns.
• Deep system‑engineering knowledge: profiling, lock contention analysis, network diagnostics.
• Proven SRE expertise with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), IaC (Terraform), and GitOps (ArgoCD or similar).
• Extensive experience on a major cloud platform (GCP) and Linux administration.
• High ownership mindset, proactive problem‑solving, and demonstrated leadership or mentorship.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
