Senior Project Manager – Transformation Office

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager – Transformation Office to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of strategic initiatives across technology, operations and business/product teams for a leading financial services firm in New Zealand. The role will drive multiple concurrent projects from discovery through delivery and benefits realisation, owning governance, budget, risk and outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate strategic projects across technology, operations and product domains.
• Manage project lifecycles from discovery to delivery, ensuring benefits realisation.
• Own project governance, budget (approximately $1 M), risk management and outcome tracking.
• Engage senior stakeholders, present concise updates to leadership and influence decisions.
• Mentor junior project managers and coordinators.
• Oversee external vendors and partners, monitoring performance.

Required profile

• Extensive end‑to‑end project management experience in a financial services environment.
• Proven ability to run several $1 M‑scale projects simultaneously.
• Strong planning, analytical and organisational skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing scopes and priorities.
• Based in New Zealand with a valid work visa.
