Senior Project Manager

About the role

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of one of New Zealand's largest utility‑scale solar projects. Based in Auckland, you will maintain a visible leadership presence on‑site, build strong client relationships, and coordinate closely with the Christchurch corporate project team.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for safe, commercial, and successful delivery of the solar project, meeting programme, budget, quality, and contractual targets.
• Provide leadership to both site‑based and corporate support teams, fostering collaboration across construction, engineering, procurement, commercial, and project controls functions.
• Act as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication with executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, project controls, risk management, forecasting, change management, and commercial outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, HSEQ requirements, regulatory standards, and INTEC’s governance framework.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering large‑scale EPC infrastructure projects, particularly utility‑scale Solar PV.
• Proven track record managing high‑value construction projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership ability to influence, mentor, and align site and corporate teams.
• Excellent commercial and contractual acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
