Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of 3 Waters and infrastructure resilience projects in Queenstown. You will work on high‑impact assets such as treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and associated networks, while being part of a supportive local team backed by a national business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of 3 Waters and infrastructure resilience projects, including treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and networks.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies through design, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with local authorities, stakeholders and community groups to ensure compliance and alignment.
• Prepare and issue change instructions, lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to clients.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with national support functions.

Required profile

• 8+ years post‑graduate experience in civil engineering, project delivery or construction management.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects in multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong leadership and strategic oversight with ability to engage in day‑to‑day project details.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Queenstown (relocation support available).
