Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction and civil infrastructure projects across the Taranaki region. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project methodology, planning, programming and delivery from tender through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost controls to meet financial targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure seamless integration of work packages.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and quality.
• Administer contracts, variations and claims, and monitor cash flow and cost‑to‑complete reporting.
• Provide regular performance and risk reporting to stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and develop high‑performing project teams, setting clear performance goals.
• Champion a Zero Harm culture and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction or civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts and stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent problem‑solving and risk‑management skills.
