Senior Project Manager – Internal Firm Services

About the role

PWC New Zealand is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead internal firm services initiatives. You will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering complex technology‑enabled projects that support business transformation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of multiple projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality and benefits are met.
• Develop and maintain project controls, artefacts and governance processes to provide delivery assurance.
• Escalate risks and issues promptly, enabling informed decision‑making by senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with peers, project teams and leadership to ensure clear, professional communication.
• Manage project budgets, financial forecasts and reporting in line with approved funding.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on project management experience in IT or transformation environments.
• Proven track record delivering large, multi‑stakeholder programmes.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing significant budgets.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑moving, lean environments and resolve complex issues under pressure.
• Coaching and mentoring mindset with a commitment to continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMI or Agile.
• Solid understanding of technology and its application to business outcomes.
