Senior Project Manager – Finance & Billing Implementation

About the role

This 6‑month contract role leads a high‑visibility Finance and Billing transformation programme, moving from RFP to vendor selection and full implementation. You will work across five+ stakeholder organisations, coordinating governance, planning and delivery while travelling weekly to Wellington.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project through vendor selection into full implementation.
• Establish and maintain governance structures across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Drive planning, mobilisation and delivery activities.
• Manage vendor performance and delivery outcomes.
• Report clearly on status, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Align diverse organisations around a shared delivery outcome.

Required profile

• Valid NZ work rights.
• 10+ years delivering large‑scale technology projects.
• Proven enterprise system implementation experience (ERP, SAP, Oracle, Finance or Billing systems).
• Experience operating in complex, multi‑organisation environments.
• Strong senior executive stakeholder management.
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguous, unscoped environments.
