Senior Project Manager (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis to lead the planning and execution of a high‑impact project. The role will focus on establishing the project schedule and control mechanisms in close collaboration with the Delivery Lead, with the contract running until June 2026 and possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project schedule and governance framework.
• Operationalise legislative requirements within the project scope.
• Deliver complex programmes in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
• Identify, assess, and communicate project risks with a practical approach.
• Work effectively in matrixed organisations, influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Drive rapid onboarding and delivery under tight timelines and staged implementation.
• Engage senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups to ensure alignment.
• Contribute to leadership discussions and shape delivery ways of working.

Required profile

• Proven experience operationalising legislative requirements.
• Track record of delivering complex programmes/projects in high‑pressure settings.
• Strong risk identification and communication skills.
• Ability to influence in matrixed environments with limited direct control.
• Quick learner who can deliver under tight timeframes.
• Pragmatic, resilient, and able to operate at the “pointy end” of delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and emotional intelligence.
• Comfortable contributing to strategic leadership discussions.
• Focus on value and outcomes rather than just milestones.
