Senior Project Manager – Buildings & Infrastructure

About the role

Frequency is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead its Buildings/Infrastructure delivery team in Wellington. You will manage projects, clients, and teams to ensure high‑quality delivery and client satisfaction while contributing to team leadership and development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project teams to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship, fostering professional growth.
• Engage with clients to understand needs, maintain strong relationships, and present technical papers at industry events.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and adherence to company policies.
• Develop and implement project management plans aligned with client requirements.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
• Support business development through client meetings, proposals and tenders.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience managing infrastructure projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Experience in design management, team management or director roles on infrastructure projects.
• Consultancy and client‑side project management experience (desirable).
• Experience with vertical build and seismic projects (desirable).
• Proven line‑management of internal delivery teams.
• Strong communication, emotional intelligence and commercial acumen.
• Robust professional network in the Wellington region.
