Senior Production Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Production Coordinator works onsite at Rocket Lab’s Auckland facility, ensuring that production lines receive the right materials at the right time. This hands‑on position supports production planners, monitors inventory, and removes blockers to keep the launch‑vehicle and satellite manufacturing schedule on track.

Key responsibilities

• Issue shop‑floor items to production work orders on time.
• Perform regular runs through assigned departments to move materials and maintain kanban circuits.
• Maintain lineside inventory accuracy, conduct cycle counts, and keep work areas tidy.
• Monitor order lines from inventory and escalate any risk of late delivery.
• Track perishable lineside items and consumables, escalating when they could block production.
• Identify and resolve material blockers that prevent order completion.
• Support prioritisation and expediting of deliveries as needed.

Required profile

• Hands‑on approach with a focus on material flow and production support.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or supply‑chain environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Auckland and collaborate with production planners.
• Willingness to develop into a production planning role when opportunities arise.
