Senior Manager, Web Strategy

About the role

As the Senior Manager of Web Strategy, you will own Xero's digital front door and ensure the web experience drives growth in line with the company’s overall strategy. You will act as a bilingual bridge between design, engineering, and marketing, turning high‑level business goals into actionable digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Align marketing strategies with cross‑functional teams and prioritize web initiatives.
• Translate business objectives into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and design specifications.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to deliver features, manage the web backlog, and reduce technical debt.
• Optimise user journeys, map personas, and improve conversion rates.
• Evolve the CMS content model and champion component‑based design.
• Conduct design quality assurance to ensure the final coded product matches the creative vision.

Required profile

• Strong background in web production, digital product management, or marketing technology.
• Proven ability to turn strategic goals into tactical web initiatives.
• Understanding of technical constraints such as HTML, CSS, and CMS architectures.
• Extensive experience with analytics platforms and conversion‑rate‑optimisation testing.
• Excellent communication skills and experience aligning diverse teams.
• Proficiency with design collaboration tools (e.g., Figma) and project management systems (e.g., Jira).
