Senior Lawyer – West Auckland

About the role

This senior lawyer position offers the chance to run and grow your own practice area while leveraging the reputation, client base, and infrastructure of an established West Auckland firm. You will inherit existing client relationships and referral streams, giving you autonomy with reduced risk.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own client relationships and legal matters independently.
• Develop and expand a practice area aligned with your expertise.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
• Mentor and support junior lawyers.
• Contribute to a collaborative and positive team culture.

Required profile

• NZ‑admitted lawyer with at least 6 years post‑qualification experience.
• Comfortable handling matters independently and building a client base.
• Motivated to grow a practice and generate new business.
• Thoughtful, respectful, and open to change.
• Interest in greater autonomy or eventually running your own practice.
