Senior Identity & Access Management Consultant

About the role

Datacom is seeking a Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Consultant to join its cybersecurity practice across New Zealand. You will provide strategic and technical expertise to help organisations secure identities, improve user access experiences, and protect critical data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Workforce IAM solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Entra External ID, Azure B2C, Okta, Auth0, Saviynt, CyberArk and Delinea.
• Configure and manage SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, PIM/PAM and Identity Governance (access reviews, lifecycle workflows).
• Design and enforce RBAC and least‑privilege models.
• Manage identity lifecycle processes (joiner, mover, leaver, provisioning, de‑provisioning, access requests, certifications).
• Integrate enterprise applications via SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM and WS‑Federation.
• Design and support secure CIAM platforms, custom authentication journeys, user registration, social/federated identity and password‑less experiences.
• Participate in IAM strategy, architecture and transformation initiatives; conduct assessments and maturity reviews.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers and business stakeholders; mentor junior consultants.

Required profile

• NZ permanent resident or citizen (security requirement).
• Senior‑level professional with extensive IAM experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and provide consultancy to large organisations.
