Senior Guidewire Developer

About the role

IAG is looking for a Senior Guidewire Developer to join its BAU Production Support team in New Zealand. You will own the stability and performance of Guidewire platforms, mentor junior developers and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑moving insurance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production stability of Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter, leading incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Manage and optimise Guidewire configurations, business rules, integrations, APIs and environments to meet enterprise standards.
• Identify systemic issues and implement automation, performance tuning and process simplifications.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to shape solutions, balance risk and cost, and influence requirements.
• Champion Agile and DevOps practices, mentor engineers and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter or ClaimCenter) in a production support setting.
• Strong incident‑management, root‑cause analysis and large‑scale troubleshooting skills.
• Proven ability to drive automation, operational efficiency and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile and DevOps in continuous‑delivery environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
