Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Integration DevOps team in Wellington. You will be responsible for managing and optimising their cloud infrastructure, ensuring smooth integration and continuous delivery across the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Manage Azure services including API Management, Function Apps, Data Factory and Service Bus.
• Develop and maintain scripting solutions for system automation and tool integration.
• Apply networking best‑practices within Azure environments.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and resolve cloud‑related issues.
• Support and, where required, work with RedHat OpenShift (ARO) and Kafka components.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Azure services (API Management, Function Apps, Data Factory, Service Bus).
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain pipelines in GitHub Actions.
• Strong general scripting skills for automation.
• Good understanding of Azure networking concepts.
• Knowledge of RedHat OpenShift (ARO) or Kafka is a plus.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a passion for automation and cloud technologies.
