Senior Cloud & Solutions Architect

About the role

DDS IT is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud & Solutions Architect to shape and deliver innovative cloud solutions for its New Zealand customers. The role blends strategic thinking with hands‑on technical leadership, guiding organisations through cloud transformation, modernisation and optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery workshops, architecture engagements and technical advisory sessions.
• Design, govern and document scalable cloud solutions across multiple cloud environments, ensuring security, resilience, operational excellence and cost optimisation.
• Support cloud migration, modernisation and transformation projects from design through to implementation and ongoing optimisation.
• Collaborate closely with sales, account management and delivery teams to provide pre‑sales technical expertise and practical solution proposals.
• Act as a trusted advisor, aligning cloud strategies with business objectives and delivering measurable outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in cloud architecture and solution design.
• Strong ability to engage with customers, understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in guiding organisations through cloud adoption, migration and modernisation journeys.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with cross‑functional teams.
