Senior Business Controller – Commerce (Finance)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑focused Senior Business Controller to join the Finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in Auckland, you will partner closely with the Sales organisation to turn financial data into actionable insights that drive profitable growth across grocery and on‑premise channels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and decision support to Sales teams.
• Deliver regular reporting on volume, revenue and margins.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning cycles.
• Analyse pricing, promotions and customer performance to improve profitability.
• Partner with stakeholders on commercial decision‑making and key account reviews.
• Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting.
• Help build capability by enabling teams to understand financial data.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field (CA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, business partnering, FP&A or commercial finance.
• Strong analytical ability to translate data into insights.
• Good understanding of pricing, margins and commercial performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in FMCG is advantageous.
