Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

Capgemini is looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services. You will lead Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives, automate deployment pipelines, and ensure operational excellence across all environments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, RDS, and CloudFront.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Enhance reliability through monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK).
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance via IAM, KMS, security groups, and AWS best‑practice frameworks.
• Drive incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide teams on DevOps and cloud‑native practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on AWS experience.
• Strong background in Linux, networking, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Experience with Terraform and cost optimisation, performance tuning, and resilient architecture design.
• Previous experience in a consulting environment is preferred.
